In my toriner Patent No. 935,806 issued "October 5, 1909, I described a means of showing upon an ordinary cloclodial the hours for various principal points or coun tries all around the earth; said means COL sisting in fixing to the hour-hand arbor of a clock, or otherwise mounting so that it will rotate with the hour-hand and concentrically with the clock dial, a, disk having" a ring divided into 534 radial sectors alternately black and white which reproscnt the different cities, countries or points of the earths surface. l have found by experience that said dial as disclosed in iny aforesaid patent presented certain disadvantages which.it is the object of the present invention to avoid by means of certain improvements whici will hereinafter appear. Standing clocks are frequently wound through an aperture in the dial thereof, and
when said dial is covered by an annular disk such as that described and claimed in my former patent it has the disadvantage of covering the winding-hole so that a spe cial winding-device is necessary in order to wind the clock; and this makes it inappli cable or diilicultly applicable to ordinary clocks. Another disadvantage which said annular disk presents lies in the fact that the aforesai sector-shaped divisions of the disk so run together at their edges that it is not easy to tell at aglance which (lurk segments belong with which light ones, and to find any desired segment, and the hour indicated byit, rcquiressrmie search, be cause the edges of the segment run together.
