they are once melted remain in the molten state at the ordinary temperature. It is thus possible 'to cause they assimilation by' the human body of cholesterin b administration either internally or by su cutaneous injection without using too-much of indifferent substances.
A mixture of 2 parts of the oleic ester of cholesterin and 1 part of the e'thylic ester of oleic acid melts at 29 C., the mixture with the methylic ester of palmitic acid melts at 31 C. 'While the pure cholesterin ester melts at 40-45 C. and is not suitable for subcutaneous injections. Olive oil or phenylpalmitate, etc., can also be used.
I claim 1. The herein described therapeuticalcomposition comprising in intermixture esters of higher fatty acids "and esters of cholesterin, which possess a:low melting point and remain in a molten state at body temperatures and for some time even at ordinary temperatures when once melted, and which are suit-ablefor either internal assimilation or subcutaneous injection, substantially as described.
