1 citizen of the AUnited States, residing at Taylorville, inl the county ot' Christian and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful r-Improvements in Insulators, of which the following is a specification, ref erence being had therein to the accompanying drawing. I
This invention relates to 'telegraph or telephone poles, and has particular referi ence to the means for support-ing the cross arms upon said poles.
One ofthe objects of this `invent-ion is the production .of eiiicient means for firmly holding the cross-arms in engagementwith the poles so as tolprevent the same from sagging when a strain is placed thereon while stringing the wires.
Another object of this invention is the product-ion of eiiicient 'cross arms wherein the same consists of a plurality of transversely y extending members havingA their ends connected together whereby the two arms will be firmly held together.
`With these and other objects in view this invention consists of certain novel constructions, combinations, and arrangements of parts as willbe hereinafter fully described and claimed. y

A nut 10 is threaded upon the lower end of the depending stem 9 of each of the bolts 6 for firmly clamp-ing the bolts 6 in firm engagement with the cross arms. A Ynumber of these insulator supporting bolts 6 are used upon `each of the cross arms so as to accommodate a number of wires which may be attached thereto. Of course, the usual insulators 8 are formed ofthe common insulating material and may be of any desired form.
