Be it known that I, ERNEST W. a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the c'ouhty of Monroe and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improveinent'in Gutter- Boxes, of which the following i's :i specification.

This invention relates in distributing boards duits.

The vprimary object of said invention is to provide a panel or distributing board with an outside glitter formed of cast iron or sheet metal which is provided with a removable cover through which the wires may be inserted and openings adapted to glitter for the purpose of distributing the electric wires on said panel.

What is claimed is:

1. In a gutter box, a plurality of casings secured to said box, said casing and box being provided with registering openings,

bushings arranged in said boX openings, each of said casings having the adjacent portions of two of the contiguous sides re# moved to provide an access opening, said ca sings being provided With removable covers {for said access openings forming obtuse angles with the Walls of said casings, sliding means carried by said covers, for engagement 'with the adjacent Walls of said access openings, to hold the same in contact with the said casings, andimeans for projecting the sliding means beyond the edges of the vcovers and for retracting the same.

2. In a gutter boX, the combination with a plurality of casings secured to said box, having access openings, of removable covers for said access openings and forming obtuse angles with the Walls thereof, blocks slidably mounted on each of the covers, an apertured rotatable elongated block therebetween, and lin s connected to the sliding blocks and the rotatable block, said cover having an opening to permit the insertion of an instrument into the block opening, whereby the elongated block may be rotated to extend or retract the sliding blocks'.
