To all whom it may concern:'
Be it. known that. I, Lusmn A. COOPER, a citizen of the United States of America, and resident of Springfield, in the county of Hampden and State of -.\;[assachusetts, have invented certain new and useful Improvemenis in Sanitary Drinking-Foam thins, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
This invention relates to improvements in sanitary drinking fountains of a kind in which a horizontal water pipe having at its free end an upstanding nozzle or delivery appliance is effective, under horizontal swinging movement of such pipe. to secure the opening of a valve' which. controls the flow of water from the supply so that the stream or jet will issue in a vertical or fountain like manner at the upstanding nozzle tobe drunk thereat,such description of fountain also. comprising a basin shaped member surrounding the drinking nozzle and with which a pipe is connected in an encircling and inclosing relation to the water delivery pipe and which leads to a waste conduit.
The object. of the present invention is to provide aesanitary drinking fountain of the class above indicated which will be not only entirely eflicient and operative without derangement for-an indefinite time, but which, moreover, by reason of the comparatively few parts comprised therein and the man ner of their combination and cooperative arrangement, permits of the production of a fountain of the greatest possible simplicity and cheapness.
-The invention is described in conjunction with. the accompanying drawings and is defined in the claims.

The lower end of the valve plug is provided with a seating disk or packing 0, and the valve plug has a screw driver slot in its upper end.
Another screw plug 9 1S engagedin the upper portion of the said threaded bore 12 to top of the valve plug, so that when the valve is properly ad usted and the plug g tightly set against 1t, there can be no shifting or displacement of the valve relatively to the ,rotative head D.

At the upper end the depending hub like portion 0 comprises an upstandin water del zle a, and it has in t e chambered body below the nozzle a volumetric governor a for regulating .the'fiow of the water for delivery, fountain like, at the nozzle. This governor comprises no part of my present application but it is illustrated as a deslrable provision for the fountain. The delivery nozzle is surrounded by a basin L, the bottom of which opens into the chamber 25 in the fitting J with which the waste pipe" arm H has connection.
