The invention relates to a peculiar construction of the. joint at the bottom of a paper bag, whereby the same. is rendered air andwater tight, as will hereinafter fully appear. p
In the further. description of the said invention which follows, reference is made to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof and in which Figure 1 is. a front or face view of the bag as it appears after the ordinary application thereto of the paste used to produce 'thebottom joint, and before the pasted surface is turned up at 0-1) and folded upon the surface of the bag above it. Fig. 2 illustrates a similar view of the lower end of the bag, after the usual fold has been made, and after the outer surface of a portion of the upturned flap has been provided with a coating of paste to prepare the bag for a second folding in accordance with the present invention.
