IMPROVEMENT IN CORN-PLANTERS.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent 'and making part of the same To all whom it may concern:-
Be it known that I, L avl B. TARBOX, of Colliersville, in the county of Otsego and State of New York, have invented a new and valuable Improvement in Hand Corn-Planters; and 1 do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact descriptiouof the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures .of reference marked thereon.
Figure 1 is a representation of my improved double hand corn-planter.
Figure 2 is aver'tical section of the same, take through one of the adjustable single planters.
Figures 3 and 4 are details.
My invention relates to hand corn-planters, and consists mainly in the construct-ion and novel arrangement of devices, whereby such planters may be attached together and operated over two furrows at,
the same time, thus accomplishing double the amountof work of the single hand corn-planter.
The'letter A of the drawings designates the backbomdof the planter, to which is secured tlie metal case B and discharging-tube O,'within which avorks rubbing of-the plunger against the grain. The bot-- tom of the plunger is shod with metal.

- What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- v The double hand corn-planter, herein described, consisting of two adjustable single band corn-plantcrs, A, provided with brushes n' nfdischarging-tubes O, and plungers e, operated by the slotted levers m m, having adjustable handles t, and. connected by the yoke-bar E, having the perforations s' s, when constructed, arranged, and operated substantially as and for the purposes herein specified,
