To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GIRARD E. Laarr, a citizen of the United States, residing at Galveston, in the county of Galveston and State of Texas, have invented new and useful Improvements in BlindStops, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to certain novel and useful improvements in stops and adjusting devices for the movable slats of window and door blinds.
In carrying out my invention, it is my purpose to provide a simple, cheap, con venient and eificient device, which may llt attached to window or door blinds so that the ordinary movable slats of the latter may be shifted 'to and locked in any desired position of adjustment to regulate the size of the openings between the slats.
It is also my purpose to provide a bliln stop wherein the top andbottom series of slats of the blind may be adjusted simulta neously or independently, as desired. In some instances where the blind is provided with a central series of slats, I arrange my device so that all of the series may be adjusted simultaneously or independently.

In the drawings :-Figure 1 is a perspeitivc view of a window blind provided with my invention. Fig. 2 is a vertical longitu dinal sectional view taken through tin same. Fig. 3 is a front view, showing tWt of the slat bars in connected position on my stop applied thereto.
Referring now to the accompanying drawings in detail, the letter A designates window or door blind which is constructci of any suitable material and is provide with a desired number of series or section of slats. In the drawings I have show a blind having three sections of slats al though it will, of course, be understood tha' the invention is not limited to any particu lar number of sections of slats. In the drawings the lower section of slats is indicated by the numeral 1, the central section is shown at 2 and the top section at The slats are individually indicated by the numeral 4 and are pivotally mounted in the Specification of Letters Patent.

blind frame in the usual manner, the slats of each series being connected together by the swivel bars 5. The swivel bar of the lower section is provided with a metallic plate 6, set in and secured thereto adjacent to the upper end, said plate having a bore or socket therein for the reception of the shank of the thumb screw 7, which projects through the vertically sliding slotted plate 8 which is pivotally connected or mounted on the end of the shank of the thumb screw 9 which screw projects through the slot 10 of the an lar bracket 11, which is fastened to the blind frame between the sections 1 and 2. A link late 12 is connected at one end to the shan of the thumb screw 9 and at its opposite end is pivotally secured at 13 to the swivel bar of the slat section 2. The upper end of the swiveled bar of the middle slat section is provided with a plate 14 having a bore 15 for the reception of the shank of the thumb screw 16, said shank projecting through the slot 17 of the plate 18, the latter bein connected at its upper end to the shank oi the thumb screw 19 projecting through the segmental slot 20 of the bracket 21 connected to the blind frame between the top and central sections of slats. The numeral 22 indicates a link connected at 23 to the shank of the thumb screw 19 and pivoted as at 24 to the swivel bar of the top sections of the slats. The sockets or recesses for the ends of the swivel bars are shown at 25 in tin blind frame.
Frdm the above description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, the construction and manner of operating my improved blind stop will be readily apparent. If it be desired to adjust but one section of blind slats, the thumb screw con nected to the swivel bar of that section i: loosened and shifted along the slotted plate through which the shank projects until ll desired position is reached when the screw is again tightened to hold the blind in adjusted position. If it be desired to adjust all of the slat sections simultaneously, the thumb nuts are loosened suilieiently to per mit their shanks to slide in their slotted bracket, and by then pushing or pulling upon the lowermost section all of the sections may be adjusted. The nut of the lowermost section may then be tightened to hold the parts in the desired position.
It will be noted that I have provided a simple yet elfective line stop arrangement,
