Be it known that l, DANIEL citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Denver and State of Colorado, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Drill-Hole-Cleaning Attachments for Hammer-Drills; and I do declare the following to be a fu11, clear1 and exactdescription of theinvention, such as 'will enable others skilledin the art to which .it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had. to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures of referencev marked thereon, which forma part of this,` specification. i

- For the purpose of imparting a partial rotary movement in reverse directions to lthe drill body and drill steel, a handle 32 is provided. rlhis handle has a threaded reduced portion 33 screwed into a threaded opening formed in the outer extremity ot the valve casing valve piece 9. lt will be understood that the valve piece 9 is manipulated independently of the main .valve 6, whereby the passage of fluid either air or Water to the drill hole may be accomplished Without interfering in any Way with the passage of motive fluid to the drill for the purpose of reciprocating the hammer. ln other Words the motive fluid conduit 1l) is in communication Ywith the chamber l2 at all times, the latter being in communicalion with the various passages leading tothe hammer chamber Having thus described my invention, what l claim l. ln a drill hole cleaninl;l attachment for motive Fluid actuated drills, the combination with the drill body, and means for supplying motive fluid thereto, oi a valve casing connected With the drill body throughivhich the motive iiuid passes to the body of the drill, said drill body and valve casing being provided with a main' passage leading from the valve chamber to the drill steel, a valve inminted in wsaid casing, a Water conduit connected with the casing, the valve being adjustable and provided either of which may be brought into corninunication 'with the main passage, whereby when the valve is moved into one position, the motive fluid passes therethrough to the Vdrill steel, while when the valve is moved into the other position the Water Hows through said passage, substantially as de scribed.
