Letters Patent No. 102,246, dated April 26, 1870.
IMPROVED COMPOUND FOR GLEANSINGSILBL The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, KARomsA Ferns, of West Zauesville, countyof Muskingum, and State of Ohio, have invented a new and improved Preparation for Cleansing'SiIk, which I denominate Cleansing Soap;
and I do hereby declare that the following is a full Place the silk on a clean board or table, put the soap in a dish, take a clothesbrush hard and stiff, dip in the soap, and scrub the silk on both sides thoroughly, until the soap lathcrs, and the silk appears clean, thcn rinse the silk twice in clear cold water; let the water drip or drain ofi, then iron with a hot iron on the wrong side, and the silk will he cleansed of all dirt or grease.
I claim as my invention- The manufacture or a preparation of a compound, which is denominated Cleansing Soap, of the ingredients and in.tlie proportions, and for the purposes set forth.
