A bell crank 21 is pivotally mounted on the upper terminal of the inner vertical bar of the gate, and has interposed between one arm thereof and an eye 22 carried by the outer terminal of the outer bar of the gate,

From the foregoing it will be observed that on tightening the turn buckle 24, the outer end of the gate will be raised while the weight of the gate is removed from the hinges It at their pivotal connection with the post and all the weightplaced on the rod 19 carried by the. bearing 15.
Having thus fully described my invention, what is claimed as new is l. in a device of the class described, the combination with a gate and cooperating gate post, of a vertical rod carried by said gate post. hinges slidably connecting said gate to said rod, a stationary bearing carried by said rod. a bar mounted for move ment in said bearing, and means'carried by the gate cooperating with said bar for tale ing up all sagging of the gate.
2. In a combination with a gate and a cooperating gate post, of a vertical rod carried by said gate post, hinges slidably connecting said gate to said rod, a stationarybearing carried by said rod, a bar mounted for movement in said bearing, a bell crank pivotally carried by the gate, a link connecting said bell crank with said bar, a connection between said rod and the lower'o'f said'hi-nges, and means secured to said bell crank for adjusting the hang of the gate, as specified.
3. In a device of the class described, the combination with a gate and a cooperating gate post, of a'vertical rod carried by said gate post, hinges slidably connecting said gate to said rod, a stationary'bearing carried by said rod, a bar mounted for movement in said bearing, a bell crank pivotallycarried by the gate, a link connecting said bell crank with said bar, a link connecting said rod to the lower of said hinges, and an adjustable rod connecting said bell ,crank to the outer end of said gate.

In a device of the class described, in combination,a movably supported post, a gate mounted thereon, a bearing carried by said post, a bell crank pivoted on saidgate, a link member connecting one arm of'said bell crank to said bearing, an ad'ustable "connection between the other arm of said bell, crank and the outer portion of said gate,
and a' second link member connecting said bearing to said gate, as hereinspecified.

combination, a movably supported post, a gate mounted thereon, a bear1ng carried by said post, a bell crank pivoted on said gate,
a link member adjustably connecting one combination, a movably supported post, a
gate mounted thereon, a bearing carried by said post, a rod pivotally mounted in said bearing, a bell crank mounted on said gate, an adjustable connection between one arm of said bell crank and the outer portion of said gate, a link member connecting the other arm of said bell crank with said rod, and a second link member adjustably connecting said rod with said gate, as herein set forth.
