- Specification of Letters Patent.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, HUGO GnNzE, EMIL G'ACK, and ROBERT Grifox, subjects of the German Emperor, and residing at Gross Auheim-on-the-Vlain, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Belt-Cutting Machines, of which the-following is a specification.
Our invention relates to a belt-cutting machine in which the material to be cut is fed by, a feed device to rotating cutter disks.
The novel feature of the invention is that the feed r011 coacting with the cutter disks is arranged to rock on the cutter-disk shaft and is held pressed against the pressure member by a spring. Owing to this arrangement, and in contradistinction to 'known similar machines, the machine can be made short and nevertheless have fed to its cutter disks leather of various thicknesses which is completely out by the same.
One illustrative embodiment of our invention is represented byway of example in the accompanying drawing, wherein Figure 1 is an end elevation and Fig. 2 a side elevation of the machine.

We claim In a belt-cutting machlne, tne combination, with a frame, a shaft journaled therein, and cutter disks fast on the shaft, of a second frame mounted to rock about the said shaft, a pressin member secured to the former frame, a eed roll journaled in the second frame, and a spring tending to rock the second frame and press the feed r01] against the said pressing member.
