Be it known that I, BENJAMIN llVon'rHiNG- rroiv, a cit-izen of the United States, residing at Mozart, in 'the county of Bucks and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sanitary A .ppliances, of which the following 1s a specification.

My 'invention relates to'sanitary appliances, and more particularly to improved means for dispensing sanitary water closet covers, which may be eectually operated in connection with a coin controlled mechanisnnand adapted to be placed in public In the accompanying drawings: Figure 1,

To receive the knife 29, roll 9 is made with a correspondingly shaped groove 30, so as to allow the knife to cut clear through the paper, and to more effectuallT guide the paper, roller 9 is provided at its ends with annular flanges 31.

Ilhen the paper is fed out as .far as it will go, it is then` torn olf against the `straigl'it edge formed by one wall of slot 28, and is ready for use. That is, the paper is opened out as shown in Fig. 7 andthe tongue which forms the opcnin 82, is bent downward and tits against the forward portion of the seat. *Suitable means will, of course, be'provided in the feeding the casing for the reception of coins or checks. I have shown a simple mechanism forl caring for the coins, by providing a raised tongue 33 on the bottom 4, to prevent the coins from fallingv onto the floor when the bottom is opened. Various slight changes might be made in the general form and arrangement of parts described without departing vfrom my invention, and hence I 'do not limit mysel to the precise details set forth, but consider myself at liberty to make such changes and alterations as fairly fall within the spirit and scope ofthe appended claim.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

A: device of the class described, comprising two parallel contacting rolls, a cutter blade projecting from the periphery of: one of said rolls, said blade extending inwardly a distance from one end of the roll and then circumferentially around the roll for a fixed distance, the other roll being provided with corresponding groove, a reel, a casing confining said rolls and said reel and provided with a slot adjacent said rolls, one edge of said slot being formed with a cutting edge,` substantially as described.
