Description
in circulating through the boxes A further ,advantage of 'my invention is the facility with which any one or more of the boxes can be removed, when damaged, and be replaced with a new one, the hollow iire-box X being also detachable.

the same, may be mentioned thereduction in thiek-v ness ofthe usual fire-brick lining, amounting, in many cases, to nearly one-half, and effecting a considerable saving in the first cost of the furnace.
Although I have referred to my invention as applied to a pnddling furnace, it will be evident that it may be adapted to heating and other furnaces with the .best results.
