This furnace is inclosed in a brick easement, and the hot-air is taken out of the top and distributed through the building.
Operation.
Set the furnace wherever wanted, put in any kind of grate, and build a fire in it; regulate your draught by the openings in the doors C and F; build your outside air-conveyer, so as to admit cold air to the bottom of the fines, and to the top pipe L, and a gentle warmth will be diused, with the use of but little fire. A water-reservoir can be placed on top or round thel furnace as may be desired.
