Be it known that we, Louis 'WQ GREEN'IG and Jonson I'FOWLER, citizens of the United States, residing' at Salt Lake City, in the county of Salt Lake and State of Utah, have invented certain new and useful lmprovements in Adjustable Skees, of which following is a specification.
The purpose of our invention is to provide a convenient, cheap and adjustable skee` 'ter use hy children on an ice covered incline. objects We have accomplished by the de ice illustrated by the` accompanying c ies in which similar.letters'o,t-'reference inlicate like parts, throughout the seval figures.

The device consists et a runner with the ends curved upward. .The front end extends upward to about t lie linee of the wearer, and has slidaoly titted or telesooped therein, a vertical. rod l, which rod is held in the up per end or" the runner 2, by a thumb screw 8. Gn the upper end ci said rod 1, is formed a hand grip 9. Seid hand grip is used also as a lever to aid in turning orchanging ilie direction ot the runner on the ice or snow. The telescoping ot the said rod l, into the vertical portion of the runner 2, and as hold oy the thunil) screw 8, permits the skeerto ce used by persons of different heights Without unnecessary stooping.
@n the horizontal portion et the runner 2 Q'is lirinly secured a foot piece 3, by the screws or rivets 6. Said toot piece 3 has the front corners thereof turned up as toe flanges Ll, to engage the toe of the wearer, and heel flanges 5 are also turned up near the rear end ot seid toot piece.
The length of the horizontal portion of the runner 2 may be varied as desired.
To use our device, the slice is to suit tl e height of the wearer" loy adjusting the hand grip to the height desired and rmly setting it, by the thumb screw 8.Y The foot v of the wearer is placed on the foot piece of one of our skees and the hand grip. is by the wearer, stooping slightly, a slree under each foot; and with a' small momentum the wearer will slide down the-ice or snow covered incline. By turning the skees with 4the hand grips the direction of the glide can be controlled.
Having described our device we desire to secure by Letters Patent andiclaim:

2. A slee with its ends curved upwarilly, a set screw tlireadehly secured through one of said ends, a rod adapted to be held within said end of said runner by said set screw, a hand grip on one end of said rod, a foot piece on saidslree with upturned Aflanges thereon.
A sltee consisting of a runner having both ends curved upwardly one of said ends extended more than the other, a set screw in said end, a rod held by said set screw, a hand grip on one end of said rod, and a foot piece secured on said runner having up# turned enges thereon.
A 4r. A skee consisting ot a runner with one end curved and extended upwardly, e, set screw threadably secured through said end, a rod'held by said setJ screw, a hand grip on one end of said rod, a toot piece secured on said runner, and upturned flanges on said foot piece.
