-My invention relates to a new and useful 33 improvement in the forming, making and construction of a sectional steam cooker. ,The base or bottom section serves as a boiler .to generate steam, from which each 'sect-ionslis supplied with steam'direct, without passing into other sections. Steam tu s n, j, k, 0, p,- i, in sections a, b and 0 are all screwed into bushings m m and are adjustable and can-be removed when desiredfor refurnishing or cleaning. It willthus be seen that all parts are adjust-- able. I do not confine myself to number of sections or number of tubes.
What I claim is:
1. A sectionalized steam cooker comprising a bottom. section consisting of a single piece of sheet metal formed into a vessel having a cylindrical side wall and a bottom integrally connected therewith, the side wall of which is provided with an internal rib extending entirely around the vessel adjacent the top edgethereof and withan outwardly rolled bead at the top edge, said side wall having an'openingadjacent the bottom of the vessel andbelow the water level in the latter, a filling tubeinserted .in the opening,.
and means for clamping the tube in position on the vessel; a second section: made of a single piece of sheet metal and formed into a vessel adapted to fit in and contact with the internal surface of the bottom section to form a substantially vapor-tight joint and resting on the internal rib thereof'to be supported by the latter and preventing the escape of vapor around the rib, the side wall of the second-section being provided with .an internal rib adjacent its top and an outwardly rolled bead above the rim, the bottom of the second section being provided with openings, bushings inserted through the openings and having peripheral flanges bearing on the under side of the said bottom, and tubes in the second section and of less height than the latter and removably se-' cured by screwing on the bushings, said tubes serving to prevent the bushings from dropping out of the openings; a top section similar in construction to the second section and having an opening in its bottom, a bushing. in the opening and having a portion extending upwardly into the top section and another portion extending downwardly into the second section to extend into one of the tubes .of the latter, and a tube in thetop section and secured in position by screwing on the bushing of the latter; and a cover fitted to thetop section.
- 2. In a sectionalized cooker, the combination of a ,bottom section consisting of a single piece of sheet aluminum formed into a vessel having an imperforate bottom and a side wall, provided with a erforation, an elbow having one end inserte in the perforation, means on the elbow for clamping the .latter to the said side wall, a filling device removably fitted on the elbow, the side wall being provided with an internal'annular rib and an external annular bea'd at the top edge and adjacent 'thelrib; a second section con- 7 sisting of a single piece of sheet aluminum shaped into a vessel having its side wall provided-with an external annularbead a tits top edge and an internal rib below the bead,
"the bottom of the second section being provided with an opening, a bushing having an annular flange at its lower end bearing against. theunder surface of the bottom and threaded above the flange, the threaded end of the bushing being inserted in the opening of the said bottom, and a tube of larger diameter than the perforations in the said bottom and screwed on the threaded portion of the bushing and removablyheld in upright position solely by the bushing; and a removable cover on the second section;
3. A sectionaliz'ed cooker comprising a plurality of superimposed sections, each consisting of a single piece of sheet aluminum formed with a bottom and a cylindrical wall, each cylindrical wall having an ins wardly-pressed annular bead at a pointedcenter of the second section and spaced 120 apart, bushings in the openings, pipes on the bushings, the third sections having bushings in its bottom arranged 120 apart to 95 enter two of the pipes in the second section, pipes in the third sectionsecured to the bushing'the'uppermost section having an opening in its bottom disposed in line with one of the pipesof the second section, a bushing in the opening of. the uppermost section and extending downwardly into the upper end of one of the said tubes, a tube secured to the last-mentioned bushing, and a cover for the. uppermost section.
