'citizen of the United States, residing at \\'aterl o, in the countqv ot Blackhawk and 5 State ol Iowa, have invented new and useiul improvements in Sewer-Pipe Machines, ot' \\hieh the followingis a specification.
M v invention relatesI to machines for mak` ing sewer ,piped or drain tile from concrete The object ot' my invention is to provide a 'machine for molding and delivering 'such 4pipe or tile -in a partially cured: condition.
A further object ofmy invention is to provide such a machine arranged to be conven'iently fed from above, as from the seci tiallv set, so that the pipe may be immedi-V ond Hoor of'a building, and to deliver the product at the base ot' the machine.
A further 'object' of my invention to provide such a machine capable of elticiently and economicallyA forming' large 'sizes of 'drain pipe, and delivering the product, with.
the concreto of which it iscomposed parately removed from the molds vand pallets, thus oliviating the use of the molds and pallets during the period of curing, and therehy limiting the number of the same required in the manufacture of such pipe.

A pet-cock 23 at the base of the former head forms an adjustableoutlet to regulate the passage of. steam therefrom, and also provides a drain for emptying the water of condensation. To regulate the passage of the pipe'molds 24, which descend' by gravity through the- )ournaled onzthe shafts 38 and are capable of longitudinali adjustment ythereon to -accoininodate diierent sized molds. The vgearwheel 39 on the shaft'38 in mesh with the wornil is driven bythe belt 40, which connects the` pulley wheels 41 on the 'worm 39, and the pulley wheel 42 on the power shaft- 18. Said gear wheel 39 drives the chains in 'i a counter' clock-Wise direction as seen in Fig. 2.- The jointed brackets are `provided at one end with bev eled lugs 43, and also with luos 44 at their joints to prevent the movabe ends from swinging inwardly. The sprins 45 on the 30 opposite sides of said arms yie dingly hold the free ends of the arms in extended position. Thebrackets 34 are spaced to engage the lower sides of the pallets 27 when in the position shown at 4 Fig. 2, thus support ing and permitting;t the' molds to descend at a predetermined speed.
