Abstract

The invention relates to a method for evaluation of high-voltage equipment, in particular to chromatographic analysis of dissolved gases in transformer oil, and can be used at electric power plants. Disclosed is a method to evaluate condition of high voltage equipment including sampling transformer oil of high voltage equipment, chromatographic analysis of dissolved gases, and evaluation of the state of high voltage equipment. Operable state is evaluated by the relative content of ethylene in the sum of methane, ethylene and ethane. The state of high-voltage equipment is defined as defect-free operable state at the confidence level P = 0.99, if in the case of sealed equipment relative content of ethylene in the sum of methane, ethane, ethylene is about 10±6 %, and for unsealed equipment relative content of ethylene in the sum of methane, ethane, ethylene is about 79 ± 10 %. The invention provides for rapid evaluation of defect-free state of the equipment, as well as early detection of defects at their appearance.
