Abstract
A filling packer (70) comprises a sheet feed means (feed roller (74)) for moving a tubular body formed of a packing sheet (5), a lateral seal device (76) for forming a bag body by forming lateral seals on the tubular body at predetermined intervals, and an article-to-be-packed feeder (100) for feeding an article-to-be-packed (85) to the bag body during repetitive formations of the lateral seals, wherein the article-to-be-packed (100) comprises a shutter (measure shutter (103)) for opening/closing the fall course of a predetermined amount of the article-to-be-packed (85) to the bag body. The shutter is opened/closed such that a predetermined amount of the next article-to-be-packed begins to fall before the lateral seals are formed on the bag body for a predetermined amount of an article-to-be-packed which has fallen by opening/closing the shutter. With such a filling packer (70), a filling/packing speed is enhanced drastically.
