Abstract

The invention relates to mining, in particular to the problem of prevention and suppression of fires in underground mines. It can preferably be used for remote suppression of fires in difficult to access areas through supply to the combustion source of gas mixture with low oxygen content. The method includes erection in mine working at the side of the air flow that comes to the combustion source of insulating main and additional dams with openings, with formation in insulated volume of mine workings of gas mix with low oxygen content due to supply of inert gas by pipeline from gasification installation to the space between dams and control of depression at main dam. Simultaneously with erection of dams in mine one places an elastic shell with capacity not lower than the volume of mines at the section from the additional insulating dam to the combustion source, this is filled with inert gas, after construction of dams, this is connected to the pipe orifice of the opening, with supply of inert gas to insulated volume simultaneously from gasification installation and from elastic shell. The technical result is in provision of safety of works on prevention and suppression of combustion sources in underground mines due to decrease of the period of transition from air medium with dangerous concentration of combustible components to inert atmosphere, and prevention of formation of explosion-dangerous methane-air mixture.
