Abstract
The invention relates to cleaning flue gases and can be used to clean sulfur-containing flue gas of thermal plants, in which a sulfur fuel is burnt, from ash and sulfur oxides. A method includes spraying into flue gases of an alkali adsorbent and catching solids before a flue. As an alkaline adsorbent fine particles of activated unslaked lime or activated limestone are used, which are sprayed into the flue gas with temperature of 500 ÷ , with a ratio of amount of pulverized alkali adsorbent to its stoichiometric amount, which is necessary for chemisorption of sulfur oxides in the range of 1.0 ÷ 1.4. Catching the solids before the flue is carried out by wet flue gas cleaning, which is mainly carried out in a steam-ejection Venturi tube under the steam pressure of 10 ÷ 16 atm, specific consumption of water of at least 0.1 l/mand mass ratio of steam and water within 0.1 ÷ 0.15. Use of the invention enhances the cleaning efficiency of sulfur-containing flue gas with extension of raw materials base of alkaline adsorbent.
