A process for processing of brines with the preparation of utility end products is proposed. The invention relates to chemical industry. A process for processing of brines by means of separation of magnesium compounds in alkali medium, separation of the said compounds and their processing to magnesium salts, evaporation of a mother solution to 70-85 %, separation of sodium chloride, treatment of the obtained mother solution with magnesium salts for separation of potassium compounds into the sludge, further treatment of the mother solution with ammonium nitrate and separated sodium chloride with preparation of sodium nitrate, sodium sulphate and ammonium chloride, the last after separation of another salts by means of evaporation is mixed with calcium carbonate, the obtained mixture is treated at temperature of 340-350 °C and calcium chloride and mixture of gases are obtained: ammonia and carbon dioxide, a part of which is used for separation of magnesium compounds, and another part for the treatment of sodium nitrate with the preparation of sodium bicarbonate and ammonium nitrate. The proposed process allows processing environmentally hazardous wastes of potassium production.
