Abstract

A method of phytoremediation of technogenically contaminated soils with heavy metals for their efficient use includes sowing and growing of cereals; mowing of the phytomass and its utilization by preliminary determination of the type and level of contamination with heavy metals, development of a scheme of soil purification depending on the features of their contamination. In addition, the sowing of dominant herbaceous wild plant species of different competing families of Asteraceae-Fabaceae-Roaseae is carried out on the field, which is divided into three parts with subsequent mowing of the plant phytomass into the active flowering phase, with the evaluation of its quality to realize its potential use growing plants every 2 years. This provides for an intensification of the biological remediation process, enhancing its efficiency while minimizing the required costs of soil clearing during the full crop rotation process.
