The useful model belongs to the field of soil science and is intended for soil research and analysis. 2 A known method of quantitative determination of the degree of hydromorphism and waterlogging of a pound |1| is based on establishing the intensity of anaerobiosis development in a closed soil model when favorable conditions are created.
To do this, the soil sample is remoistened (10-200ml of water per 1g of soil), enriched with a nutrient substrate (for example, glucose in the amount of 0.1-1Omg per 1g of soil) and incubated in a closed vessel for 24-120 hours. The intensity of anaerobiosis development is determined by measuring the redox potential in the model at certain time intervals, which is set using a potentiometer (voltmeter) and a standard pair of electrodes. However, often the absence of the specified equipment and its unsuitability for long-term continuous work complicate the process of determination.
The task based on a useful model is to simplify the methodology of quantitative determination of the degree of hydromorphism and waterlogging of the soil. 19 The task is solved by the fact that the intensity of the development of reducing conditions in the model is established with the help of a redox indicator, the aqueous solution of which is added in a small amount to the laboratory model when it is laid.
As a quantitative characteristic of the degree of hydromorphism and waterlogging of the soil, the duration of exposure of the model to the moment of color change of the introduced indicator is used, i.e., the amount of time during which the redox potential of the model reaches the values of the equivalence point of the introduced indicator, for example, - C30mV for neutral rot or - 289mV for safranin T.
The method is carried out as follows. Pour 2 g of soil sample and 2 mg of glucose into a test tube and pour 40 ml of distilled water. After thoroughly shaking the contents of the test tube, add 2-3 drops of 0.0195 aqueous solution of a redox indicator, for example, neutral rot, tightly close the test tube with a rubber stopper and keep it at a stable temperature until the red color disappears. The length of time from the moment the test tube is sealed to the moment the red color disappears in it is used as a quantitative characteristic of the degree of hydromorphism and waterlogging of the pound under study.
оThis method of quantitative determination of the degree of hydromorphism and waterlogging of soils does not require the use of electrical devices and long-term measurements and is easily accessible to any researcher. at
