A process for concentration of nitric acid with simultaneous preparation of calcium nitrate, in which distillation of solutions of nonconcentrated nitric acid is carried out in the presence of concentrated solution of calcium nitrate with removal of vapors of concentrated nitric acid and diluted solution of calcium nitrate, the solution of calcium nitrate is concentrated with further return of the prepared concentrated solution of calcium nitrate to distillation.
