Abstract
The invention relates to area of technical physics, in particular to hygrometry, and can be used at development and application of means for measurement of parameters of humidity like pressure of water vapor, dew point, relative humidity, absolute humidity, moisture consumption, etc. Method for measurement of humidity of gases is proposed that is based on dependence of temperature of thermo-desorption of hydrate layer from surface of hygroscopic salt on pressure of water vapor in gas medium. Measurements are carried out as follows. One heats moisture-sensitive layer that consists of hygroscopic salt and localized hydrate layer at its surface with observation of gradual increase of its temperature. Having followed beginning of de-hydratation (delocalization) of hydrate layer at its desorption one measures temperature of moisture-sensitive layer, after that one stops heating and by the temperature value obtained one determines pressure of water vapor of controlled gas by calibration characteristic. If needed, for the following measurement of humidity of gas one cools hygroscopic salt till renewal of hydrate layer, with carrying out the measurement. Thermo-desorption method proposed for measurement of humidity of gases makes it possible to perform measurements of relative humidity practically from 0 to 100 % and resource of transformer is restricted y mechanical or chemical effect on hydroscopic salt only. Accuracy of measurement of humidity of gas is less than 1 % since in the method proposed interaction of water vapor with electrostatic field of hygroscopic salt is used, this is constant value at change of temperature of salt and controlled gas as well, pollution, distribution of salt in moisture-sensitive layer, etc.
