Способ прогнозирования сращивания перелома включает клинический осмотр, рентгенографию. Проводят определение полиморфизмов генов MTHFR C677T, eNOS T 786, уровня ГАГ. При гетерозиготном носительстве 677-СТ и 786-ТС и уровне ГАГ 24-28 мкмоль/л прогнозируют сращивание перелома.
