Abstract

Device for neutron-neutron logging has a source chamber with a source of fast neutrons, a protective casing, in which at different distances from the source is has two thermal neutron detectors, and block of electronics. The chamber of the source and protective housing of the device are made of material that is slightly slowing, well disperses and weakly absorbs neutrons (e.g. of aluminum-based alloy), and the device diameter is reduced to a size which is determined by the diameter of neutron counters, depth of tested wells and the mechanical properties of the structural material .
