Abstract
The method of thermal treatment of high carbon light alloyed steels involves heating to a quenching temperature within the temperature range of 800-1130°C, curing, subsequent cooling in liquid medium. After cooling to environment temperature the steel is heated to the temperature of 550-600°C, exposed to curing until total decomposition of austenite and final cooling in a liquid medium to environment temperature.
