Abstract
The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy. A method for producing metal titanium by electrolysis of molten salt with titanium circulation includes the stages at which titanium tetrachloride TiClis reduced to at least one of titanium trichloride TiCland titanium dichloride TiClin molten chloride salt using a metal titanium Ti, and one of two TiClor TiClin chloride molten salt is subjected to electrolysis for the formation of metallic titanium. According to the method for the producing metal titanium of this invention TiCland/or TiClare produced and subjected to continuous electrolysis without changing the environment, in such a way it simplifies the process development, reduces energy consumption.
