Abstract
A method for predicting fracture nonunion comprises a clinical examination, roentgenography, evaluation of homocysteine content in the blood serum, intima media thickness at common carotid artery, brachial and femoral arteries and determination of endothelium-dependent vasodilation of brachial artery. With homocysteine level of > 20 mmol/l, the thickness of IMC at CCA > 0.998 mm, at brachial artery -> 0.45 mm and at femoral artery -> 1.04 mm and EDVBA <7%, the nonunion of fracture is predicted.
