Abstract
The invention relates to the field of metallurgy. A method for production of iron and/or metallic product, includes placement on the furnace bottom of the powder mixture containing iron oxide and carbon containing reducing agent, heating a mixture, its reducing and separation of iron and/or metallic product and waste, at that the mixture is heated in the temperature range of 1160 - in an atmosphere in which the ratio of CO: COat 3:1-5:1 is supported. The invention allows to obtain iron and/or metallized product with high purity, high iron content and to reduce the cost of the final product.
