Abstract
Method for underground sulfur melting includes opening of sulfur seam with shaft stem to water resistant underlying rocks, penetration of horizontal workings in underlying rocks, drilling from those workings upward wells to sulfur layer, arrangement in horizontal workings of pipelines for heat carrier, supply of heat carrier to seam by upward wells, collection of melted sulfur in horizontal workings and its lifting to surface. To increase sulfur extraction due to more uniform heating upward wells are drilled in groups with inclination and as inclined-horizontal.
