A method for the determination of the weber-ampere characteristic of measuring voltage transformers includes connection to the circuit of charged capacitor of one winding of measuring transformer only, measurement of active resistance of the winding Robm, measurement of current in the circuit i(t), measurement of voltage on capacitor UC(t), determination of the voltage on the active resistance of the winding UR(t), determination of voltage on the nonlinear inductance UL(t), determination of flux linkage of the winding Ψ(t) through integration of voltage on the non-linear inductance UL(t), exclusion of the value of time t from the dependences for flux linkage Ψ(t) and current i(t) obtained, with obtaining the weber-ampere characteristic Ψ(i). The value of the capacity of the capacitor C is additionally determined, and according to the registered current in the circuit i(t) voltage on capacitor UC(t) is determined, or vice versa, according to registered voltage on the capacitor UC(t) current in the circuit i(t) is determined.
