Abstract
The technique for appendicostomy comprises the excision of appendix sparing its base in length. The long perforated probe is passed through the stump of appendix to the intestinal lumen. 2-3 longitudinal cuts of the serous-muscular layer are provided to the mucosa and the transition of appendix to cecum. The serous-muscular flaps are separated from mucosa. The cleansing tube is inserted with invagination of the mucosa of the appendix stump into the lumen of cecum. The serous-muscular flaps are fastened to the anterior abdominal wall.
