Abstract

The invention relates to a method for growing the unicellular green algae Haematococcus pluvialis for obtaining astaxanthine which provides for inducing biosynthesis of astaxanthine in monade vegetative cells with the grown on the nutrient medium MONM-1, in the state of substrate saturation of cells according to biogenic elements (inoculate) introduced in an amount of 0.3-0.3510cellslinto the nutrient medium MONM-2 which differs from the medium MONM-1 by the content of nitrogen (0.2 mMl) and phosphorus (0.12 mMl) lowered by 30 times. Sodium acetate, 15 mM, is added singly and the further growing in the course of 20 days is carried out in a semi-flowing regime (0.1-0.3 day) maintaining in the medium MONM-2 the preset level of nitrogen and phosphorus at round-the-clock lighting by daylight luminescent lamps with an intensity of light flow of 120 μЕms, continuous air flushing (0.3 lmin) and temperature of 22-26 °С. An economical and effective method that can be laid into the base of industrial cultivation of the unicellular green algae Haematococcus pluvialis is developed as a raw material for obtaining a natural astaxanthine as a pure preparation and a biologically active bad with the increased bioavailability of a carotenoide. The method excludes transforming the vegetative cells into aplanospores, provides with an advantage in cultures of monade structure (>80%) in the course of not less than 20 days and the content of astaxanthine in the biomass is not less than 2% of dry matter.
