Abstract
The invention relates to dry separation of weak magnetic materials by magnetic properties, in particular, in mining, chemical, pharmaceutical and other branches of industry. A method of dry magnetic separation of weak magnetic materials includes supply of material for enrichment to the magnetic roller, which rotates around the horizontal axis, the retention of magnetic grains on the roller under action of magnetic force, removal of nonmagnetic grains under action of attracting force in the nonmagnetic product, removal of magnetic grains during rotation of magnetic roller beyond the limits of the area of removal of nonmagnetic grains, creation beyond the limits of the area of removal of nonmagnetic grains of the area of corona discharge for charging of magnetic nonconducting grains in this area, creation beyond the limits of the area of the corona discharge of the area of electrostatic field, detachment in the electrostatic field of the charged magnetic nonconducting grains from the roller, removal of these magnetic grains into the magnetic product of separation. A device for dry magnetic separation of weak magnetic materials includes an electro-conductive roller assembled from the permanent magnets with horizontal rotational axis, a source of high voltage, deflecting electrode located beyond the limits of the area of unloading nonmagnetic product, a feeder for supplying the enriched material to the surface of roller, a device for receiving of nonmagnetic and magnetic products of separation, in this case beyond the limits of the area of unloading nonmagnetic product in the direction of motion of rotating the roller, but upstream of the deflecting electrode, a corona-forming electrode is located. The invention provides performance on disclosed roller magnetic separator of enrichment of weak magnetic materials, which contain magnetic nonconducting grains.
