Abstract

A device for reading out binary information comprises a recording element arranged as writing head connected to output of code former, two reading elements arranged as reading heads which outputs are connected to corresponding inputs of the recording unit. First reading head is made as double-gap one, second reading head is a single-gap one and displaced by axis relative to the first head along the magnetic carrier by value equal to half-thickness of writing head pole, second-to-fourth writing heads, third-to-fifth double-gap reading heads and sixth-to-eighth single-gap reading heads arranged around information carrier in planes normal to the axis thereof. Signal windings of double-gap and single-gap reading heads are connected in series opposition. The device is provided with additional ninth-to-twelfth single-gap reading heads arranged similarly to second, sixth-to-eighth single-gap reading heads and displaced relative todouble-gap reading heads along the axis of information carrier in opposite direction by value equal to half-thickness of writing head pole. The signal windings of single-gap reading heads are series-connected.
