Analysing Materials By The Use Of Radiation
(AREA)
Abstract
A method for production of crystalline sample for Bragg light cell is in that polarized electromagnetic wave is directed from the source of radiation to crystalline material, with simultaneous excitation of acoustic wave in the sample, with measurement of change of optical parameter of electromagnetic wave, with determination of directions of propagation and polarization of electromagnetic and acoustic waves at which acoustooptical effectiveness is maximum, from crystalline material a sample is cut with facets orthogonal to those directions. The directions of propagation and polarization of electromagnetic and acoustic waves at which acoustooptical effectiveness is maximum for crystalline material are determined by means of extreme surfaces of the parameter of acoustooptical brightness for all the possible directions of propagation and polarization of electromagnetic waves and all the possible directions of propagation and polarization of acoustic waves permitted by the law of conservation of pulse.
