Abstract

A method for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots includes transporting a heap into a cleaning area, distributing thereof, interacting with cleaning working elements for removing dirt and the further unloading. After transporting and preliminary cleaning, a tuberous root heap is forcedly pushed through a circular wiper of side surfaces. A device for carrying out the method for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feed conveyer, a baffle brush, a cleaner shaped as a hollow cone, the vertex of which is directed downwards, inside of which from above a rotary heap divider is arranged, and also of an unloading conveyer. From above the cleaner has a driving cylinder, disposed vertically, made by longitudinal round rods, under which a receiving hopper as a solid hollow cone is arranged. Under the receiving hopper the driven side surfaces wiper having the internal concave surface with elastic rods is mounted. Inside of the latter a tuberous root grip, arranged on the vertical drive shaft extension and kinematically connected to a mechanism of oscillatory movements in the vertical plane, is disposed. The grip has a concave shape and comprises elastic rods which are arranged on concave surface thereof and have an upward slope.
