Abstract

A process for production of diesel biofuel comprises raw material preparation, heating to the temperature of 55-60 °C with subsequent removing of moisture and admixture. Processing of prepared raw material is carried out in reaction boiler by simultaneous reaction of etherification and interesterification at mixing of raw material with alcohol in the ratio 5:1-7:1 respectively, with adding of concentrated sulphuric acid in the amount of 10% from the mass. The process is carried out at the temperature of 120-150 °C for 60-120 minutes at turbulent mixing 1200-1500 rotations per minute and atmospheric pressure. 15 minutes before process finishing 5% of glycerin is added. The process is finished. Substrate is placed into slime tank for 6 hours for distribution of diesel bio fuel and glycerine. Fats of animal origin with content of free acids 10-40 mg KOH/g or plant oils are used as raw material. Technical animal fat with high concentration of free fatty acids 5-95 mg KOH/g is used, which interetherification reaction is carried out in two stages: during the first stage double etherification is carried out with concentrated sulphuric acid in the amount of 5% towards the mass for 1 hour at the temperature of 60-65 °C at constant mixing with separation of water and alcohol; methanol and sulphuric acid are taken in molar ratio 9:1; during the second stage – with sulphuric acid in the amount of 10% towards the mass of fat-containing raw material, in molar ratio methanol/acid 12:1 for 1 hour at the temperature of 60-65 °C at constant mixing; after that the mixture is aged for 10-15 hours.
