Abstract

A method for assessing the severity of preeclampsia in the pregnant patients and the efficacy of the therapy in dynamics comprises the record of electrocardiogram transmitted to computer in real time mode foe calculating the variability of the heart rhythm. Simultaneously, omega potential and integral rheography after Kubichek are recorded. Based on these data, the hemodynamic type is calculated. The average parameters of the adaptation group of pregnant patients are used for generating the matrix for the severity of preeclampsia (matrix describing "how the pregnant woman is adapted to the pregnancy"). The matrix comprises six rows of the parameters stated above and five columns of the grade of preeclampsia severity (from mild to severe). Such matrix is then used for assessing the severity of preeclampsia in the pregnant patients allowing for deciding whether the pregnancy should be prolonged. All the parameters are recorded and compared with the matrix at least twice over the scheduled time. The normalization of all parameters suggests the efficacy of the therapy and the possibility to prolong the pregnancy. Otherwise, when the parameters suggest the deterioration of the state, the termination of the pregnancy should be considered. The parameters of other pregnant patients are integrated into the average parameters of the adaptation group.
