A top-harvesting machine contains a frame on which there are in series installed a horizontal rotor with top-cutting knives, installed in the housing transverse worm conveyor with right and left coiling between which blades are installed and a top unloading device. In the lower part of the housing a catcher is installed by means of a hinge. The rear surface of the catcher is connected with the housing through hingedly mounted link of alternate length.
