The invention relates to the blast furnace production. A method for charging the blast furnace involves supplying ore materials, lump coke to the furnace top. In addition, into the mixture with iron-ore materials charged are coke spots with a size less than 25 mm, which mechanical strength while heating in the atmosphere of furnace gases is more than by 54 % higher than that of lump coke. Use of the method will increase the gas permeability and drainage ability of coke nozzle, allowing to reduce the general consumption of solid fuel of blast –furnace melting.
