Abstract
A cover for protection of the thread of pipes contains a ring-shaped element with bottom and a shock absorber with the cuts for wrench. The part of ring-shaped element has a thread, profile of which corresponds to the profile of the thread of the pipe. The walls of the part of ring-shaped element with the thread in the longitudinal section have a shape of rectangle, the upper edge of shock absorber has a shape of semicircle, and material, from which is manufactured the cap is the mixture of polyethylene, propylene, activated carbon and stabilizer, general density of material makes, at least, 0.95 g/cm3. For reliability and strength the ring-shaped element in the cover for pipes of larger diameter has a cut, on which is fixed metallic cowling. This embodiment of the invention allows increasing strength and hardness of the cover, reliability and plasticity at lateral impacts, and durability at different extreme temperatures.
