Abstract

A method of multiple deformation of sheet bands and strips consists in stepwise multiple deformation of sheet workpieces by equal-channel angular drawing, at which the workpiece is set on a pulling edge and bent by pressure at a given angle. Then the forces of deformation are applied in the longitudinal direction, and it is pulled through a pulling edge, the deformation process is repeated in required number of times to accumulate a given degree of deformation. Prior to each next stage of deformation a pulling edge is turned for a given angle less than 90° relative to the longitudinal axis of the sheet workpiece in one, then in other side, then at 90°. At the same time the workpiece is turned at 180° about its longitudinal axis thus changing the direction of deformation at each stage. During pulling force of reverse tension is applied to the workpiece, which is the opposite to the force of deformation and the force of deformation is adjusted by change of angles of bending the workpiece on the edge and forces of pressure and reverse tension.
