Description of the invention
The invention relates to metallurgy, directly to slag and the regenerator of the Martinov furnace.
A well-known method of protecting the lower buildings of the Marteniv furnace from wear and tear is using magnesite brick (slag) (1), p. 611), chrome-magnesite brick (regenerator masonry) and dinas brick (regenerator wall) (11, p. 618). The disadvantage of the known method of protecting the lower buildings of the Marteniv furnace from wear and tear is the low stability and high cost of the bricks used. Increasing the stability of the lower buildings and reducing the cost of the bricks used is proposed to be solved by using fireclay refractories with the application of a liquid refractory layer between the bricks and the subsequent melting of the surface of the walls with flue gases to form a protective layer.
Wear of refractory brick is caused by erosion of the surface under the action of flue gases of the Marteniv furnace with a temperature of more than 18007°C. Fireclay brick with a layer of liquid refractory between it melts when interacting with the flue gases and forms a protective layer. The testing of the proposed method was carried out on ZOOOt and BOOt 19 Marteniv furnaces.
