Abstract

The proposed process of searching hydrocarbon traps using satellite thermal photographs relates to methods for searching mineral resource deposits by using the data obtained in remotely sounding the earth surface and can be used when carrying out geological investigations for searching oil or gas deposits or for detecting geological structures containing oil or gas. The present invention provides a possibility to obtain additional information on oil or gas deposits and determine the coordinates of areas where detection of hydrocarbons is most probable.
