A method for estimation of the functional state of respiratory musculature in patients with chronic obstructive lung disease comprises the common clinical and laboratory studies, spirometric research of function of the external breathing with the estimation of such indices, as volume of the forced exhalation for the first second, forced vital capacity of lungs, correlation of these two measuring, performing of test with the 6-minute walking. For patients with severe disease with forced exhalation for the first second less than 50 %, which at 6 minute test pass a distance less than , additionally on results by spirometric research the maximal volume of inhalation are determined before and after loading.
